You know that feeling when you drop a stone into still water? The ripples keep going… spreading outward, touching things far beyond where that stone landed. That's what Noah did every single day he was here. He served everyone around him, his family, his friends, complete strangers. And when we lost him in 2018, we made a promise that those ripples wouldn't stop.
They haven't.
Continuing What Noah Started
Noah was on his way to the Sheriff's academy when we lost him. You had this clear vision of your future: you wanted to serve right here in Polk County, going through the Polk Sheriff's Academy or starting out in one of our municipal police departments… learning the job, earning your place, taking care of people you actually knew. And then one day, you talked about the Cody Mounted Police out in Wyoming, in the Tetons/Yellowstone area. And even further out, you always said you wanted to become a U.S. Marshal. You wanted to protect people. To help people. To make a difference in ways both big and small.

The Noah's Army Foundation was born from that same desire to serve. Not because of what others did for us (though the community support was overwhelming), but because we needed to keep Noah's spirit of service alive. We needed to continue what he started, doing good and serving others. Simple as that.
And since 2018, we've been doing exactly that right here in Polk County and beyond.
The Numbers Tell a Story (But Not the Whole Story)
Here's what we've accomplished together:
We've awarded scholarships to cadets pursuing careers in law enforcement and firefighting right here in Polk County. These aren't just monetary gifts, they're investments in the next generation of first responders. Young people who, like Noah, want to dedicate their lives to keeping others safe.
We've assisted seniors who needed help. Women leaving domestic violence situations who needed a fresh start and support. Children in long-term health care who needed… well, everything. Hope. Resources. Someone to show up for them.
We've outfitted multiple ballistic vests for the Polk County Sheriff's K9 Unit. Because those four-legged officers put their lives on the line too, and they deserve every bit of protection we can give them.

But numbers only tell part of the story. Behind every scholarship is a cadet who's one step closer to their dream career. Behind every vest is a K9 officer who gets to go home safe to their handler. Behind every act of assistance is a person who felt seen, helped, valued.
That's the wake of kindness we're talking about.
Why First Responders?
People ask us sometimes why we focus so much on supporting first responders and law enforcement. The answer's pretty simple, it's what Noah wanted to be. He understood the calling. The desire to run toward danger when everyone else is running away. The commitment to serve your community even when it's hard, even when it's thankless, even when it's downright dangerous.
Supporting law enforcement and firefighting cadets through scholarships means we're helping remove financial barriers that might keep passionate, dedicated people from pursuing this path. We're making sure that someone's dream to serve doesn't die because of tuition costs or equipment expenses.

And when we outfit K9 units with ballistic vests? We're protecting those who protect us. These dogs are officers. They're partners. They're family members to their handlers. Making sure they have the best protection available is the least we can do.
Beyond the Badge
But Noah didn't just want to serve in uniform. He served everyone, always. That's why our mission extends beyond first responders to include some of our community's most vulnerable members.
Supporting seniors who need assistance honors the generation that built our communities. They've given their whole lives to this place, they deserve dignity, support, and care in return.
Helping women leave domestic violence situations… there's nothing more important than giving someone safety and a chance to rebuild. Noah would've been the first person to step up and help someone in danger. Through the foundation, we get to do that for him.
And children in long-term health care, kids facing challenges most of us can't imagine, they need to know someone cares. Someone sees them. Someone's in their corner. That's what we do.
Join Us at the Clays Event
This year marks our 6th Annual Noah Jeffries Memorial Clays Event, and honestly, it's become one of my favorite days of the year. On February 28, 2026, we'll be at the FWC Tenoroc Range in Lakeland, and I really hope you'll join us.
Register for the event or learn more here: https://officialnoahsarmy.com/noah-jeffries-memorial-clays-events/

It's a sporting clays fundraiser, yeah: but it's so much more than that. It's a day when Noah's friends, family, first responders, community members, and people who never even met Noah come together to continue his legacy. Every shot fired, every target hit, every conversation shared… it's all part of keeping that wake of kindness moving forward.
Whether you're an experienced shooter or you've never picked up a shotgun, there's a place for you there. We're not just raising funds: though every dollar goes directly to supporting our mission. We're building community. We're honoring Noah. We're reminding each other why service matters.
This Is What a Memorial Foundation Should Do
I think sometimes people hear "memorial foundation" and they picture something stuffy and sad. But that's not who Noah was, and that's not who we are.
Noah's Army Foundation is active, engaged, and making real differences in real people's lives. We're not just talking about service: we're doing it. Every scholarship awarded, every vest delivered, every person helped… that's Noah's legacy in action.
And just so it's clear (because transparency matters to us): Noah's Army Foundation is a fully registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, and donations are tax deductible. Every position within Noah's Army is strictly voluntary… there are no paid positions. Our overhead costs are covered by generous sponsors, which means money donated to Noah's Army Foundation goes directly to the causes we serve.

And we're proud of that. So incredibly proud.
How You Can Leave Your Own Wake
You don't have to start a foundation to make a difference. You don't even have to donate (though we're grateful when you do: seriously, thank you). You can leave a wake of kindness in your own way.
Volunteer with local first responders. Mentor a young person considering law enforcement or firefighting. Check on your elderly neighbors. Support domestic violence shelters. Visit kids in hospitals. Just… show up for people. See them. Help them.
That's what Noah did every single day.
And if you want to be part of what we're doing specifically, come to the clays event on February 28th. Spread the word about Noah's Army. Consider making a donation to support our ongoing work. Follow us and share our mission with others who might want to get involved.
Together, we're proving that one person's legacy of service can ripple out and touch hundreds: thousands: of lives. We're showing that kindness isn't a one-time thing. It's a choice we make again and again and again.
That's the wake Noah left. And we're going to make sure it never stops spreading.
Join us. Serve with us. Leave your own wake of kindness.
