Living life to its fullest joy

These photos popped up today on Noah’s phone as a look back to this date in 2015. One of the things that Bud and I always impressed upon Noah was that he should always seize every opportunity to do as many things as he loved or was interested in in his life. That he should never live complacently or bored by his own existence, seeing life as a chore. We used to tell him – If you complain about your life you have no one to blame but yourself.

Yes, bad things happen. Yes, circumstances can occur that create terrible situations in your life, but you have the power to choose how you react and where you find your footing. Even people who say they didn’t have a choice in the matter… That was exactly the choice they made. Laugh or cry, fight or die or worse yet – Do nothing.

Even if I I hadn’t known what Noah was going to do with his life and where he would have invested most of his time and energy – One thing I can say without hesitation is that no matter what, he would have made sure he had an amazing time on his journey.

Since Noah passed away, people ask us all the time, “Can I do anything?” “Can I help you?” “Is there anything I can do to make this better or easier for you?”

The answer is yes.

Live.

Follow Noah’s example. Live boldly, loudly and leave a wake in your path that washes over others with respect, kindness, patience, joy and love. Protect others, be their sheepdog and have a wild time doing it all!
